Domain Management Agreement
Last updated: 2 June 2026
This Domain Management Agreement sets out the terms on which rohcode registers and manages a domain name on your behalf. It forms part of our Client Services Agreement.
1. The two ways we manage your domain
We manage your domain in one of two ways:
- New registration. We register a new domain on your behalf, acting as your agent.
- Transfer in. You transfer an existing domain you already own into our management.
In both cases the arrangement is the same: the domain is yours, and we manage it for you.
2. You are always the owner
You are always listed as the registrant — the legal owner of the domain. We act only as your agent (for example, as the administrative or technical contact) to manage the domain on your behalf. We never register a domain in our own name, and managing your domain never makes us its owner.
3. Your information
To register or manage a domain, you must give us accurate, complete, and current registrant details, and keep them up to date. Some domains have eligibility rules — for example, a .ie domain requires a demonstrable connection to Ireland and proof of your claim to the name. You are responsible for meeting any such requirements and for the accuracy of the information you provide.
4. Fees and renewals
Domain registration and renewal carry costs set by the relevant registry or registrar. We will tell you these costs, and you are responsible for them. While your plan is active, we manage renewals on your behalf to keep your domain from lapsing. If your plan is paused or ended, responsibility for renewing the domain returns to you, and we will help you take over its management.
5. Moving your domain
Because the domain is yours, you can ask us to transfer it to you directly or to another provider at any time. We will not unreasonably withhold or delay a transfer, and we will provide the authorisation details needed to complete it, subject to any registry rules and to your account being settled.
6. Suspension
If your website is suspended under our Acceptable Use Policy or for non-payment, your domain still belongs to you. Suspension affects the website and our management services, not your ownership of the domain.
7. Your responsibility and indemnity
You are responsible for your choice of domain name and for ensuring it does not infringe anyone else's rights. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from your domain name or from inaccurate registrant information you provide. Nothing in this section affects the statutory rights of a consumer.
8. Our limits
We rely on third-party registries and registrars to register, renew, and transfer domains, and we are not responsible for their actions, outages, or pricing. We will use reasonable skill and care in managing your domain, but we do not guarantee the availability of any particular domain name.
9. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Ireland and is subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
